Our first Hemp Farming Q&A in Milton, KY was met with a high level of interest, with fifty farmers from the surrounding communities making an appearance. Both Indiana and Kentucky Farmers arrived early to tour our facility and listen to presentations given throughout the day by our Agricultural Development Director Shane Ball.
With questions being asked about profitability, impacts on surrounding CBD crops, and the land requirements to successfully grow hemp, the day was filled with information from start to finish.
Coverage of the Event was provided by WLKY
WLKY reporter Mark Vanderhoff attended the Farmer Q&A, speaking to several farmers and during the event and interviewing Trimble County Farmer Barry Graves and Sunstrand’s Ag. Director Shane Ball. A link to the interview can be found below.
Did you miss the Q&A?
If you were unable to attend yesterdays event, don’t worry, you’re not too late. Interested farmers can head over to our farming page to find out more information on farming with Sunstrand and questions can be submitted on our contact us page.
Thanks to everyone that came out, and a special thanks to Debbie Crawford, Trimble Chamber of Commerce, Lide White Boys & Girls Club, and Kentuckiana News for sponsoring the event. Without their support, the success seen would not have been possible!
